Arrival
Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and check-out is 11:00 a.m. If you will be arriving after 4:00 PM, please call to make special arrangements. You will be given instructions where your gate entrance and parking area is in your confirmation package that will be mailed to you upon your reservation. Also if you require a late check-out, notice must be given in advance and a fee will be charged.

Please come to the front of the inn to check-in and receive your key. If the door is locked, just ring the temple bell and someone will come to greet you.

Since this is a Japanese style inn and it is very traditional in Hawaii, please remove your shoes and place them in the shoe rack.

Inn policies
Service is provided everyday between 9:00 and 11:00 which includes fresh towels. Your linen is changed on the third day of your visit. We will assume that you do not wish to have your unit serviced, if you haven't departed from the room. There are beach towels on the shoji towel racks or basket for your use. There are blankets in the drawers of the platform beds, if you are cold at night.

Guests suites do not have telephones. We will be happy to provide you with any messages that you might receive, but the Inn's telephone is turned off at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to use the telephone to make a credit call, please let us know.

This is a non-smoking inn . If you do smoke, please step outside to do so.

Special Accommodations: We can provide exclusive weekly retreat accommodations. Such accommodations require 60 days pre-booking as available. Meals can be provided.

There are light switches for your outside lights in the suites and one outside of your bathroom. The lantern light switch is on the right hand side of the black structure outside your suite. Please turn the lights off when you come in at night. It would be greatly appreciated. Also to cut operating costs down, please turn the lights around your mirror off, if they are not in use. Thank you.

In Hana, as well as all of Hawaii, there is a major bug and rodent problem. Please keep all food in the refrigerator. Also if you have an ice chest, please leave it outside in case of leakage of water that could damage the floors. There are spigots at each of the Inn's outer walkways;please wash off all the sand before entering the Inn. It would help us during our cleaning. Thank you.

Since we live in the country there are animals on the property. Picollo is the Cocker Spaniel and he is ~ very friendly, Michiko and Yukiko are the cats. Please do not feed the animals. They are on special diets.

Hana
Since Hana has very limited dining, it is recommended that you make reservations for dinner at the Hotel Hana Maui in advance. Your other option is the Hana Ranch Restaurant, which is open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Other nights the Ranch Restaurant's cafe take-out is open until 7:00 p.m.

If you are visiting Hana for the first time, and would like an overview, visit our friend John Romain's page, "What Is Hana?"

If you are coming to Hana to marry and honeymoon, our friends at Heavenly Hana Weddings can help you arrange the details.

We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do.
